Rachel Lindsay is excited about a ‘new beginning’ now that her divorce with Bryan Abasolo has been finalized.
The pair, who connected during season 13 of The Bachelorette, completed their divorce on January 7 nearly a year after the original filing.
They had been married for four years and faced months of legal discussions after their separation last year.
Currently, The Bachelorette star, previously a contestant on the 21st season of The Bachelor, shared that she is feeling ‘fantastic,’ as reported by TMZ.
According to the source, as part of the agreement, she is receiving their house in North Hollywood, a Porsche Macan, artwork, and additional assets.
Earlier this month, the sports attorney spoke out after having described their prolonged divorce struggle as ‘unnecessarily complicated.’
She mentioned that their divorce was lengthy and complex due to the absence of a prenup. Lindsay mentioned that she “wouldn’t marry without a prenup” again.
Throughout their divorce proceedings, the ex-couple negotiated their finances, going back and forth.
Abasolo persistently sought spousal support from Lindsay, and the two often clashed on how the discussion regarding Abasolo’s intention to file for divorce unfolded.
Earlier, she was instructed to pay $13,000 each month in temporary spousal support during the summer.
Recently filed court documents, however, disclosed that Abasolo ‘waives, discharges, and releases’ Lindsay from ‘any and all’ payments that she was expected to make in the future.
Furthermore, as disclosed in the legal papers, the chiropractor claimed that his wife ‘never expressed any interest’ in his profession and wanted him ‘removed’ and ‘not participating in Hollywood.’
He asserted that he had ‘suffered years of her verbal control.’
In the meantime, Lindsay claimed that she and Abasolo ‘hardly ever went out together’ throughout their four-year marriage since he ‘frequently worked late into the night and I traveled frequently for work.’

Lindsay remarked: “I had to make compromises that I didn’t particularly wish to, but ultimately, my peace of mind is invaluable.”
I truly wish to begin rebuilding and I aim to progress. And I can do that now. And it honestly feels incredibly satisfying that I can begin the process of, like, alright. “Let’s reconstruct.”
She continued: ‘I haven’t spoken, but I will and I’m just working all that out. “I have numerous topics that I wish to discuss.”
