
Kelvin Sheppard, a former Buffalo Bills linebacker, has officially been promoted to defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions. This marks a significant milestone in Sheppard’s coaching career, which has been steadily rising since his retirement from professional football.
Sheppard, who was originally drafted by the Bills in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft, enjoyed an eight-year playing career in the league. During his time as a player, he showcased his leadership and versatility, playing for multiple teams, including the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, and Chicago Bears.

In 2021, he joined the Detroit Lions coaching staff as the outside linebackers coach.
