PHILADELPHIA — We have received reports from Packers supporters who faced verbal harassment in the stands at Sunday’s playoff match in Philadelphia.
A clip of the disgusting rant has spread widely on the internet, garnering millions of views.
“I was reluctant to spin around and shout at this guy, fearing my fiancé might get attacked in the crowd.” “I was attempting to remain composed, but I was really seething at that moment,” stated Ally Keller, a Packers supporter.
Keller and her fiancé, Alexander Basara, attended the game dressed in the “incorrect shade of green” and found themselves among Eagles supporters who mostly partook in lighthearted teasing. Nonetheless, Keller and her fiancé mentioned that one individual continually crossed the line.
He was taking personal shots at me. It’s one scenario if he’s saying, ‘Screw the Packers,’ or something, but he keeps commenting on my appearance. “It became personal,” Keller stated.
Basara mentioned that he has witnessed comparable situations occur, which is why he decided to take out his phone.
It’s a risky scenario. I’ve watched videos from other stadiums showing a similar scenario, where it’s a couple and the husband intervenes, leaving the wife caught in the crossfire. It’s a highly perilous circumstance, and it’s extremely frustrating. That’s the reason we chose that path. And once we did that, he genuinely ceased. “I believe he understood he was recorded.”
The couple reports that the remainder of the game proceeded without any issues. Following the video upload, they claim the Eagles contacted them to express their apologies.
The couple states they will not go back to Philadelphia for any upcoming Packers games.
“Given the current pace, I’m uncertain whether it’s really worthwhile.” I understand that not every supporter behaves this way, and I wish for no one to experience it. That was somewhat my intention in sharing that video. You know, I hope this helps people realize that it’s not acceptable. “It’s unacceptable to do that,” Basara stated.
A representative for the Eagles stated that the matter has been resolved, and the supporter who harassed Basara and Keller is prohibited from attending future events at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Eagles supporter was likewise dismissed from his IT consulting position. On Wednesday, he released a statement expressing regret about the situation and deemed his actions unacceptable.

“Last Sunday, while I was at an NFL game cheering for my cherished Philadelphia Eagles, an incident took place that I truly regret.” What started as playful teasing with two Packers fans sitting close to me turned into a more serious matter, and I expressed things that were inappropriate. In the heat of the moment, I used harsh words to speak to a fan, Ms. Ally Keller. I wish to genuinely express my apologies to Ms. Keller for my remarks, as well as to my wife, family, friends, former employer and colleagues, Packer fans, Eagle fans, the Philadelphia Eagles, the City of Philadelphia, and everyone who felt hurt.
