West Virginia was aware they would be up against a formidable challenge with LSU starting pitcher Kade Anderson.
Anderson, anticipated to be a high selection in this year’s MLB Draft, started for the Tigers and is recognized as one of the premier pitchers in college baseball.
The Mountaineers managed to score seven runs off him, totaling nine runs, as their offense is hitting with confidence leading into an elimination game on Sunday.
